“Some journeys grow through success. Others grow through the lives they touch.” By the beginning of 2023, Khamkheyal had already become a familiar name for many artists, entrepreneurs, photographers, and visitors. But this year reminded us that our journey was never meant to be limited to exhibitions alone.

The year began on 7th and 8th January with another Khamkheyal exhibition at Amiya School of Photography, Sealdah. Photography, paintings, lifestyle brands, and open mic sessions once again brought together a vibrant community of creators and art lovers. It felt like meeting old friends while welcoming many new ones into the family.

Soon after, Khamkheyal took a meaningful step beyond the exhibition space by donating five wheelchairs to five specially-abled children. It was a simple initiative, but it reminded us that even the smallest acts of kindness can leave a lasting impact.

On 26th March, we introduced something completely new—Khelar Chhole. Designed for children between the ages of 5 and 14, it was a day filled with games, creativity, laughter, learning, and togetherness. Watching children play freely, make new friends, and enjoy every moment became one of the happiest memories of the year.

Community service remained close to our hearts. On 21st May, we organised another Blood Donation Camp “রক্ত থাক সম্প্রীতিতে“at Amiya School of Photography, where nearly thirty donors came forward to contribute. Each donor strengthened our belief that compassion has always been one of Khamkheyal’s greatest strengths.

The celebrations continued on 3rd June with Happy Cycling Day alongside eminent cyclist Lipika Biswas. It was a beautiful morning that encouraged healthy living, sustainability, and the simple joy of coming together for a shared purpose.

Photography once again found its special place through the second edition of Muhurta “মুহূর্ত”, held from 8th to 10th September. Every photograph reflected not only technical excellence but also emotion, memory, and storytelling.

A month later, from 6th to 8th October, Art & Autumn returned to Gallery Gold, larger and more vibrant than before. Independent brands, artists, photographers, musicians, and performers transformed the gallery into a celebration of creativity. One of the most memorable moments was the presence of eminent writer Chandra Mukhopadhyay, who joined the Open Mic through “Amader Kotha,” making the event even more special.

Looking back, 2023 taught us that Khamkheyal was no longer just organising exhibitions.

It was creating experiences, building friendships, and becoming a platform where creativity and compassion naturally walked hand in hand.
