Part II [ Chapter 1: Learning to Walk Again (2021)]

“Every journey faces a pause. What matters is having the courage to begin again.”

The year 2021 was not about making the biggest comeback. It was about taking one careful step at a time. After months of uncertainty, we finally gathered once again on 27th and 28th February 2021, in Khamkheyal Exhibition. It felt different, yet familiar. Friends met after a long time, artists displayed their creations once again, photographers framed new stories, entrepreneurs returned with hope, and the sound of conversations slowly filled the space.

The exhibition brought together lifestyle brands, photography, paintings, open mic performances, and cultural activities. It wasn’t just another event—it was a celebration of resilience. It reminded us that while the world had changed, our passion for creating meaningful experiences remained exactly the same.

But Khamkheyal had also changed.

The pandemic had taught us that a community is measured not only by the events it organises, but also by the people it stands beside during difficult times. With that belief, we initiated the Cyclone Yaas Relief Fund. It was a small effort driven by the love and support of our extended family. Every contribution, no matter how small, carried the same message—that creativity and compassion can always walk hand in hand Looking back, 2021 was not a year of grand milestones.

It was a year of rebuilding trust, rediscovering purpose, and learning to walk again.

The roots of Khamkheyal had quietly grown deeper.

We were no longer just organising exhibitions.

We were nurturing a community.
