Community activity highlights —

Khamkheyal, our heartbeat, has always been a vibrant community group dedicated to fostering connections by bridging the gaps between different generations, cultures, and socioeconomic backgrounds through a diverse array of local initiatives.
Our group operates on the belief that a community is healthiest when its members are actively engaged with one another through creations as well as compassion.
By creating accessible spaces for both contribution and celebration—whether through the life-saving act of donating blood, the economic empowerment of a local artist, or the simple joy of watching children work together as a team to create something joyful ; we try to instill a profound sense of mutual responsibility for each other.

Blood donation drive:
A social cause we have been taking forward since last 5 years, was initiated under the guidance of our beloved friend, philosopher and guide, the Late Dr. Biplab Achharya. Organized with meticulous care and dedication, this event aims not just in collecting blood but fostering a sense of community awareness.
The seamless blend of professionalism and empathy, ensures a comfortable experience for every participant. This drive always leaves an indelible mark on our collective consciousness, reinforcing the values of compassion and unity within our community.

Barir Khamkheyal :
Recognizing the needs of every people from all generations, our group seamlessly harmonizes the high-energy youthful momentum with the seasoned perspectives of the elderly to create a more forward thinking approach. In this event, the first brainchild of our group, we try to bridge the boundaries by unearthing the raw latent talent of newborn artists or by celebrating the forgotten handcrafted artists of our heartlands by bringing them to the centre stage.

Khelar Chhole :
An event, where we bring the younger generations together for a day, by hosting a lively fun summer camp with lots of group activities that spark their imagination as well as creative outflow. From dance therapy to art and craft sessions, from role play to drama workshops, we try to unlock kids’ imaginations and build life skills and team spirit through hands-on fun. By blending expressive arts with practical activities the collective aim is to nurture independent thinkers who are as confident expressing themselves on a stage as they are working together in a team.

Art and Autumn, Art E Boisakh –
The most impactful events, that are hosted by us before Durga Puja festivities and Poila Boisakh frenzy respectively, tries to serve as a cultural catalyst by providing a platform for local artisans and arranging a vibrant exhibitions for handmade artists to showcase and sell their crafts.

Open mic –
Our Open Mic sessions are dedicated to fresh, emerging talent—a supportive stage for those who simply need a space to be heard and seen. Seamlessly woven into our group’s art exhibitions, it’s a celebration of raw creativity where visual arts blend with live performance under one roof , thus creating an inclusive sanctuary where new talent takes center stage.

Muhurto Photo Festival-
Muhurto (meaning : moments) , our photography exhibition is more than just hanging pictures on a wall—it’s about giving a voice to stories that need to be heard for social awareness as well as reflection of those moments.Our mission here is to empower local creators by bringing their powerful imagery into public spaces, thus creating an accessible space for community conversations.

Art n Adda –
A very homely event organised mostly to bring the inspiring minds into a warm, homely setting and bring forward precious inputs by hosting intimate conversations among the speakers and the audience. The wide array of open discussions gives insight into their life’s work, unique area of expertise, and the stories behind their success….of course, over a cup of coffee !!

Golpogacha o Boi –

By hosting this open book-reading sessions for all ages, Khamkheyal is trying to build a bridge across generations, proving that the magic of a good story never truly fades.
In our warm, welcoming homely space, children discover the wonder of imagination, adults find a peaceful sanctuary from daily digital noise, and seniors share the timeless wisdom of literature. At a time when short attention spans threaten to push books into the background, our community reminds us of the deep, irreplaceable joy of gathering together, opening a book, and truly connecting.

At its core, our mission to bring forward these diverse initiatives is to combat modern social isolation by weaving a resilient, interconnected safety atmosphere of shared experiences. Ultimately, our aim is to establish that collective, small-scale actions can create a deeply supportive environment where everyone feels valued, seen, and connected.
